COMMEMORATING THE INAUGURATION OF THE FIRST ASIAN GAMES HELD IN NEW DELHI FROM 4TH MARCH, 1951, THESE STAMPS WERE ISSUED. ASIAN GAMES ARE HELD EERY FOUR YEARS IN DIFFERENT ASIAN COUNTRIES PARTICIPATED BY ASION NATIONS ONLY. VALUES OF THESE TWO STAMPS WERE 2ANNAS AND 12ANNAS.

The currency used on stamps was Rupia, Anna Paisa & Pies
This represented the currency arrangements during the transition period upto the establishment of the Indian Republic. The Monetary System remained unchanged at One Rupee consisting of 192 pies.
